Dr. Becourtney is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with deep experience in collaborating with other medical disciplines to maximize the benefits of physical therapy and training.
Sparked by his undergraduate studies in exercise physiology, Dr. Becourtney’s fascination with human movement led to a doctoral degree from New York University (NYU). Since then, his experience has included training and rehabilitating professional athletes and military Special Ops personnel, along with his current roster of New York City weekend warriors and fitness enthusiasts. He is a trusted and respected partner to many leading orthopedic surgeons in the New York City region.
Dr. Becourtney has a passion for sharing his knowledge and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the NYU Department of Physical Therapy. He believes there must be a specific rationale behind each exercise, in order to help clients maximize the benefit of their time and effort while equipping them to continue independently on a path toward a healthier lifestyle.
